Position SummaryThis position is responsible for leading and performing operations tasks involving the receiving storage cleaning packaging and shipping of grain.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all grain operations tasks required at the facility that contribute to customer service grain movement/storage and general facility upkeep. Assist with the coordination of all grain movement task at the facilityIdentify monitor and report safety and quality issues.? Assist with identifying root cause and corrective action through the understanding of facility logistics grain conditioning and grain qualityAssist with safety committee meetings and morning safety talksTrain and onboard new operations workersComplete electronic data entry reporting documentation and correspondence to support operationsPerform Supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the SupervisorWhat is expected of you and others at this levelHas developed expertise typically through a combination of job-related training and considerable on the job experienceTypically acts as a lead coordinating the work of others but is not a supervisorWorks autonomously within established procedures and practicesHas developed a specialized level of skill to perform assigned tasksEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required5+ years? relevant experience requiredDemonstrated competence in all work areas of grain operationsAbility to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver?s license preferredPhysical Requirements and Working EnvironmentMust be able to stand for an extended period of timeAbility to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 poundsMust be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feetWorks indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperaturesWorking conditions could include dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfacesThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
